18th International Congress of the European Association of Tissue Banks in Cracow

Dear Colleague,
As President of the EATB and Chair of the EATB 2009 Congress Organizing Committee, we have pleasure in inviting you to attend the 18th Annual Congress of the European Association of Tissue Banks, which is being held from the 4th - 6th November 2009.
The venue this year is the beautiful city of Cracow, which is situated on the Vistula river in the southern part of Poland. Cracow is unusually rich in cultural life and, with its many tourist attractions, historical architecture, and its charming climate, it is an ideal place for the conference.
The Congress is organized under the honorary patronage of the Polish Minister of Health and the Mayor of Cracow.
We are also glad to announce that the Skin Symposium will be held jointly with the American Association of Tissue Banks.
The meeting will comprise plenary sessions with renowned experts on:
* European regulation and its implementation
* Vigilance & Surveillance
* Irradiation
* TSE’s including vCJD
* Skin grafts
There will also be free paper presentations with, no doubt, exciting competition for the congress prizes, which will be awarded for best poster, best presentation and also The Prof Anna Dziedzic-Goclawska Award for Novice Investigators.
The Congress will provide a wonderful forum for you to refresh your knowledge and to meet and interact with leading figures in the field of tissue banking. We invite you to join us at the 18th EATB Annual Congress, which we hope will build on the extraordinary success of last years Congress in Edinburgh.
