Back Epidemic Intelligence, the italian experts join the new Who platform

Analysts of the Italian Network of Epidemic Intelligence are joining the World Health Organization (Who) Eios (Epidemic Intelligence from Open Sources) community of practice. The first step of this transition is learning to use of the Eios platform. To this effect, a three days training course was completed today at Iss, led by experts from the Who European Regional Office with the participation of an expert of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control ( Ecdc). The training engaged a team of Italian analysts who will in turn teach other members of Italian Network of Epidemic Intelligence.

The course will allow the Italian experts to join the Eios community not only as members of the GHSAG-EAR epidemic intelligence network, but also as a national network of public health epidemic intelligence.
