FAQ - Who is most affected?

Women, those of advanced age, those who are obese or overweight, and those who have been hospitalized for CoViD-19. In the latter case, there is an apparent correlation with the number of pre-existing chronic conditions and the severity of interventions required (e.g., ICU admission). Susceptibility also appears to increase with the number of symptoms in the acute phase (particularly dyspnea), but the association with their severity is not yet clearly defined.
