This volume contains the proceedings of the 6th Congress on mycotoxins in agri-food chain. It involved the major experts, who presented the most recent scientific evidences deriving from research projects outputs, the management of emergency situations and the alignment of the own-check and official control activities to the new current legislation. Differently from the previous editions, it was decided to extend the topics also to the plant toxins, this in consideration of the new European Union Reference Laboratory that gathered Mycotoxins and plant toxins in the same organization. Since 2004 the National Congress has been held at the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS, the National Institute of Health in Italy) with a two-year frequency, on average. This scientific event is an opportunity for researchers and stakeholders for discussing the effect of mycotoxins and plant toxins occurrence on economics, agriculture, industry, safety and legislation.
