This document is intended to provide guiding principles for disaster shelter managers to prevent, prepare for, and respond to community transmission of SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) in general population disaster shelters. Because conditions vary from community to community, disaster shelter managers should look to their state and local health officials for information specific to their location.
