Gender differences in diagnosis, prognosis and response to therapies and vaccines - ISS (EN)
Gender medicine aims to guarantee each individual the appropriateness in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation. The main objectives are:
- identification of sex specific biomarkers and development of new technologies (diagnostic, prognostic and predictive of response to treatments)
- identification of sex-specific therapeutic targets
- study of the impact of sex/gender on:
- the efficacy of drugs and related adverse events
- the response and adverse reactions to vaccines and iii) the efficacy and validity of medical devices
