ISSalute

 

ISSalute is a portal on health information addressed to citizens. It was created in 2017 under the Presidency of Prof. Walter Ricciardi,  in collaboration with Sir Muir Gray, professor of Knowledge Management at the University of Oxford and creator of the NHS Choices website.

ISSalute offers  A-Z updated, independent and certified information on health,  lifestyles, nutrition, environment and diseases, using a simple and comprehensible language. To dispel many "hoaxes" and false myths,  a section on misleading information is provided including scientific explanations that demonstrate its groundlessness.

The portal is in Italian and it is managed by a Coordination Committee in collaboration with the ISS President, prof. Silvio Brusaferro. All the contents published on ISSalute are created by an Editorial Board consisting of ISS researchers and technicians, and are approved by a Scientific Committee made up of Senior ISS  investigators, availing also of the collaboration with external experts.
