Back Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response

Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR) is a strategy adopted by countries in the WHO African Region for implementing comprehensive public health surveillance and response systems for priority diseases, conditions and events at all levels of health systems. Successful implementation will require a well-trained, competent and dedicated workforce.

The IDSR channel will host a series of courses in English, French and Portuguese to contribute to the implementation of the third edition of the strategy. The courses are designed to provide learners with the appropriate knowledge for using data to detect and respond to key health security risks and thereby reduce the burden of illness, death and disability in communities.

We plan to launch all courses in French and Portuguese by the end of 2022.
