Introducing the Repository

About the Laboratorium Repository

The ISS-G20 Laboratorium Repository is a website where public health professionals may find news, documents, guidelines, and educational tools which are systematically collected and updated from international authoritative and reliable sources in order to make available to the public health workforce freely available resources previously classified and evaluated for appropriateness in the field of Emergency and Preparedness Response.

The Repository was conceived and supervised by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità as a tool to benefit the community of G20 states and all Low- and Middle-income Countries. The Repository is aimed to offer to the world Public Health Workforce, regardless of their heterogeneous profiles, access to educational resources based on competence-based learning for the development of the skills needed to face the present and future health emergencies.

How Repository Works

The ISS-G20 Laboratorium Repository collects data from different sources, searched and validated daily. The search is done through an automated web search tool. Each item included in the Repository is screened for pertinence and relevance and classified according to different keywords and their type (news, documents, tools…) in different sections of this site and sorted from most recent to oldest. The right side of each page lists tags, which can be used as filters to search through the database.

The following items can be selected: "Topic," "Language," "Target," "Type," "Resources," and "Search."

"Topic" you can find all the items labeled by their content; in "Language" topics are categorized by language. The "Target" page is intended to filter all resources by the profile of the user it is intended for. You can select the documents according to their needs, either as General Public or HealthCare Workforce (HCW). In HCW the user can find subclasses such as "HCW Technical Staff," "Hospital/LTCF," "Non-HCW Technical Professionals," "Primary Care," and "Public Health." Based on your choice you will be directed to the most appropriate contents. Under "Type," the resources are categorized by content type.

Under the tag "Resources" you may access and search directly the websites from which the Repository sorts its items.

From the search page you can also refine your search by selecting multiple tags and keywords.

The Laboratorium Repository is a continuously expanding website and a rapidly growing number of documents and tools will be available over time. Presently, most of the available documents are in English, but in some cases, they are available in a range of different languages on the source website. Prospectively, keywords and research strings in other languages will be available.
