Medicines, vaccines and advanced therapies
Veterinary drugs may consist of products used exclusively inanimals, butwhich are approved and used with equivalent quality characteristics in both humans and animals.
The authorization process for veterinary medicines is substantially superimposed on what is in place for human-use medicines, particularly at the European level, where the European Medicines Agency (EMA) deals with the modes of both types of drugs.
At the national level, the Authority responsible for the management of veterinary medicines is the Ministry of Health.
