Hospital Based HTA - ISS (EN)

This line of activity deals with the evaluation of health technologies with the hospital as its reference setting. In addition to efficacy and safety, particular attention is paid to the costs incurred by the hospital.

The economic-financial balance is evaluated through the study of the impact of the new technology on hospital costs, and verification of their consistency with the reimbursement rates in force. In addition, particular attention is paid to the organizational aspects and the impact of the new technology on any productivity improvements (e.g. a new device that allows a reduction in operating room times for each system).
