Pet therapy - ISS (EN)

The Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS) conducts research on the role of human-animal interactions (Animal Assisted Interventions, AAI - commonly known as Pet therapy) in human health to validate innovative models for care and rehabilitation of people with mental disabilities.

AAI represent an innovative approach to support psychosocial rehabilitation thanks to the stimulation of emotional and motor skills.
