Back April 2022 - World Health Day

This year the World Health Day (on April 7) reminds us of the need to protect people and their environment. It will better prepare the world to prevent, detect and rapidly respond to future disease outbreaks. World Health Day 2022’s theme is ‘Our planet, our health’, highlighting the impact of the environment on our health.
WHO estimates that around the world, over 13 million deaths on a yearly basis are due to avoidable environmental causes. Besides that, rising temperatures and floods caused by climate change will put 2 billion people at risk of dengue fever, a mosquito-borne disease. The climate crisis is also a health crisis.
We are dependent on nature and the environment around us to remain healthy, and we need to ensure healthy futures for the coming generations by protecting our environment.
In particular, among the planned initiatives, the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) staged a panel discussion panel discussion on football, health and well-being featuring the experts in the fields of physical activity, nutrition, mental health, and substance abuse, discussing the latest knowledge and guidance to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
