The World Diabetes Day will be celebrated on November 14th, as every year. It was established in 1991 by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
The subject of this year, defined by the IDF, will concern Access to care. It will be the same for the next three years.
Target of the event: to raise global awareness of both public and political opinion on the importance of higher knowledge, prevention and management of this disease, which is very widespread also in our country.
In this occasion, a lot of regional associations will promote activities, initiatives, meetings, distribution of information material aimed at the prevention and treatment of diabetes.
Also scheduled are 6 webinars which, covering the Italian Regions, will compare healthcare personnel, institutions and patients.
