To hear for life, listen with care! is the theme of #WorldHearingDay (observed annually on March 3) proposed by the World Health Organization (WHO). Activities, key messages and information will focus on the importance of safe listening as a means of maintaining good hearing across the life course.
The WHO founded World Hearing Day to raise awareness on how to prevent deafness and hearing loss and promote ear and hearing care throughout the world.
All stakeholders in the field are invited to organize events and activities to raise awareness on hearing loss and to widely disseminate the “WHO Global standard for safe listening entertainment venues”, to promote its adoption and implementation.
Italy joined the 2022 World Hearing Day, too, by presenting various and important initiatives.
At the headquarters of the Ministry of Health in Rome, the great event of the #WorldHearingDay will be celebrated on March 2nd and 3rd.
