Italian National Reference Laboratory for the treatment of foods and their ingredients with ionizing radiation

Intercomparative tests

The National Institute of Health (ISS) in collaboration with the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale della Puglia e della Basilicata (IZSPB), in order to support the laboratories for the activities indicated in the National Control Plan, periodically organize intercomparative tests on the application of the analytical methods. Participation in the tests is free. The proponents provide technical-scientific support and discuss the results obtained with all participants in order to improve the performance of the laboratories.
This area contains summary information on the tests organized by the ISS (SANV and FAST) in collaboration with the IZSPB.
