Alcohol Helpline (TVAl) - 800 632000 is a national telephone counseling service for fighting and facing the risky and harmful consumption of alcoholic beverages.

The service, anonymous and free, is active from Monday to Friday from 10.00 to 16.00 at the National Center for Addiction and Doping at the national institute of Health.

TVAl is a listening, welcoming and orientation point for everyone and in particular for people with problems related to alcohol consumption and their families. TVAl raises awareness of the effects on health related to alcohol consumption, offers clear and scientifically validated information, directs towards territorial services that propose health interventions for the diagnosis and treatment of addiction, proposes social resources useful for developing collaborative relationships in the territory. Expert psychologists, as part of a personalized counseling intervention, favor, the recognition and activation of personal and social resources in those who have problems related to alcohol consumption to deal with the problematic situation, the activation of a path of change .

Thanks to this methodology, the user is supported in the adoption of effective strategies to make adequate choices within a range of possibilities available on the national territory, such as care services, self-help associations.
