The Italian bioethics thesaurus has been created under the SIBIL Project (Sistema Informativo per la Bioetica In Linea, Online Bioethics Information System). This Project has already seen the birth of an archive of Italian bioethics literature produced since 1995. This thesaurus is designed to improve the document indexing and retrieval process and is the first of this kind in Italian. With its over 1.000 terms, it includes all the main concepts of Bioethics and related subjects.
