On January 1, 2011, came into force a requirement for all companies to include in their risk assessment document also job-related stress risks. Article 32 of the Italian Legislative Decree n. 81/2008 states, furthermore, that all those who are responsible for security should receive adequate training on job-related stress. For this reason, the Department of Environment and Primary Prevention (DAMPP) of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (National Institute of Health in Italy), has held from 20 to 22 June 2011, in collaboration with the training institution S3 Opus, a training course entitled “Personnel management, job life quality and job-related stress”. The initiative was intended to provide participants with a general reference approach and operational instruments for an effective personnel management that aimed at enhancing human resources, stimulating motivation, improving working conditions and so reducing and / or preventing job-related stress.
