World No Tobacco Day: the XXV conference "Tobacco and National Health Service" 31/05/2023

On the occasion of the World No Tobacco Day that occurs on May 31, the XXV National Conference "Tabagism and National Health Service" was held every year in the Pocchiari Hall of the ISS.

As part of the event will be disclosed the data of the Report on smoking in Italy, with attention to new products and consumption in the school population 11-17 years.

The conference is also an opportunity to deepen the theme proposed this year by the WHO "We need food, not tobacco". The international campaign aims to encourage the replacement of tobacco crops with sustainable crops, thus helping to stem the global food crisis. During the conference will also be illustrated the activity of the Green Phone against Smoking, the mapping of Anti-smoking Centers and will be presented the new Guidelines for the treatment of tobacco and nicotine dependence.
