Il documento è il prodotto di un gruppo di lavoro multidisciplinare e multi-istituzionale denominato “Sinergie Ambiente e Salute”, costituitosi all’interno della Task Force nazionale Ambiente e Salute del Ministero della Salute, con lo scopo di identificare le priorità organizzative e operative per promuovere/realizzare sinergie tra i due settori Ambiente e Salute e suggerire programmi e strategie istituzionali integrate. Questo documento fornisce indicazioni per facilitare una collaborazione sistematica efficiente tra operatori dei due settori promuovendo la creazione di una rete integrata di sorveglianza ambientale e sanitaria secondo nuovi modelli di prevenzione basati su approcci integrati come il modello One Health, anticipando temi contenuti nel Piano Nazionale della Prevenzione 2020-2025. Il suo obiettivo principale è di aprire la strada per realizzare una governance che permetta di integrare istituzioni, discipline, legislazioni, competenze, opportunità/eccellenze, disponibilità, per far fronte alla complessità delle problematiche ambientali-sanitarie e alla loro non procrastinabile integrazione con misure di equità e sostenibilità.

This document is the product of a multidisciplinary and multi-institutional working group called “Environment and Health Synergies”, set up within the National Environment and Health Task Force of the Italian Ministry of Health, with the aim of identifying organizational and operational priorities to promote/realize synergies between the two sectors Environment and Health and to suggest integrated institutional programs and strategies. This document provides indications to facilitate efficient systematic collaboration between operators of the two sectors by promoting the creation of an integrated environmental and public health surveillance network according to new prevention models based on integrated approaches such as the One Health model, anticipating issues contained in the National Prevention Plan 2020-2025. Its main objective is to pave the way to achieve a governance that allows the integration of institutions, disciplines, legislation, skills, opportunities/excellence, availability, to cope with the complexity of environmental health problems and their no longer postponable integration with equity and sustainability.
