    This volume collects the abstracts of the contributions presented at the “PhD Day academic year 2025-2026 of National Institute of Health. The presence of doctoral students is an important stimulus for the National Institute of Health's research, fostering collaboration and interaction with the university research community. Since 2022, the National Institute of Health has annually funded approximately 40 doctoral scholarships through agreements with various universities across the country, hosting approximately 130 doctoral students. Through this initiative, National Institute of Health aims to enhance its public value by contributing to the increase in the number of doctoral degrees in our country. A PhD Working Group, composed of senior researchers and representatives elected by the PhD students works together to strengthen and support the PhD student community at National Institute of Health.

    Questo volume raccoglie i riassunti dei contributi presentati in occasione della “Giornata dei dottorandi anno accademico 2025-2026 dell’Istituto Superiore di Sanità”. La presenza dei dottorandi rappresenta un importante stimolo per la ricerca dell’Istituto Superiore di Sanità, favorendo collaborazioni e interazioni con la comunità di ricerca universitaria. Dal 2022, l’Istituto Superiore di Sanità finanzia ogni anno circa 40 borse di dottorato attraverso accordi con varie università del Paese e ospita circa 130 dottorandi e dottorande. Attraverso questa iniziativa, l'Istituto Superiore di Sanità mira ad accrescere il proprio valore pubblico contribuendo all'aumento del numero di dottorati di ricerca nel nostro Paese. Un Gruppo di lavoro costituito da ricercatori senior e rappresentanti eletti dai dottorandi, lavora insieme per rafforzare e sostenere la comunità dei dottorandi e dottorande dell’Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
