The European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID) has released the guidelines/recommendations for the assessment and the management of patients after acute SARS-CoV-2 infection, particularly of those who have not fully recovered after more than 12 weeks since diagnosis of acute illness, defined as Long-CoViD. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has developed a guideline in partnership with Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN) and Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP). This guideline covers care for people who have signs and symptoms developed during or after an infection consistent with CoViD 19, still present more than 4 weeks later and presumably not due to an alternative diagnosis. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have presented a clinical guidance on the evaluation and the management of post-CoViD conditions defined as a wide range of physical and mental health consequences that are present four or more weeks after SARS-CoV-2 infection. (June 2021)
