Streaming XXVII Convegno Nazionale Tabagismo e Servizio Sanitario Nazionale - 30 maggio 2025

As every year, on the occasion of the World No Tobacco Day, promoted by the World Health Organization (WHO), the “XXVII National Conference on Tobacco Addiction and the National Health Service” will be held on May 30. This event will also provide an opportunity to discuss the theme proposed by WHO for 2025: “Protecting children from the interference of tobacco industry”, which highlights the importance of exposing the tactics employed by the tobacco, nicotine and related industries to make their products more appealing particularly to young people. During the day, data on tobacco and nicotine consumption in Italy — with a particular focus on the 11–17 age group in schools — and worldwide will be presented. There will be a specific focus on nicotine addiction, and data related to the activities of the Anti-Smoking Helpline and the mapping of Smoking Cessation Centers will be illustrated. In addition, the activities carried out by the ISS within European tobacco control projects will be described.
