IMMUNION

The Project

IMMUNION (Improving immunization cooperation in the European UNION) is a project that aims to increase trust and adherence to vaccinations by strengthening collaboration between health professionals and other stakeholders.

The project is co-financed by the Third Health Program of the European Union for the years 2021-2023.

The contribution to the project by the multidisciplinary working group of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS) relates to WP6 (lead by ISS), and concerns the use of "Communication tools to increase vaccination compliance in target communities".

The activities  regard:
• analysis of national scenarios with regard to behaviors and attitudes towards vaccines and vaccinations
• collection of vaccination communication tools at national level
• engagement with key stakeholders
• selection and co-creation of pilot communication activities with different target groups.
In its final phase (October-December 2022), the project has envisaged, for Italy, the direct involvement of schools (teachers, parents, students), to evaluate together possible strategies aimed at improving current knowledge on vaccinations and the barriers that prevent their uptake. To this end, an online survey is planned.
The questionnaires, addressed to different target groups (students, parents, teachers),  are available in Italian only.
