This area contains summary information on the proficiency tests and comparative exercises organized by the National Reference Laboratory for heavy metals in food (2009 - 2019) and, subsequently, by the Functional Area for Proficiency Tests for the Chemical Safety of Foods of the Food Safety, Nutrition and Veterinary Public Health Department, accredited as Organiser of Interlaboratory Proficiency Tests according to ISO/IEC 17043 (accreditation No 0002P of 02/01/2019, field of accreditation: "metals in food with flexible purpose, quantitative scheme"), on request from the National Reference Laboratory for metals and nitrogenous compounds (NRL-MN).
