Activity

The LNR-MOCA

• provides technical and scientific assistance to the Competent Authority and the Italian Official Laboratories  (IT OLs) involved in official controls  of FCM
• coordinates  an  Italian  network  among the IT OLs for  FCM to disseminate  validated methods and  in house validation procedures
• organizes training courses   for IT OLs  and, on demand, for the Personnel of the Local Competent Authorities 
• cooperates with the corresponding European Reference Laboratory (EURL-FCM. JRC, Ispra,( VA) Italy)) and is partner of the EURL/NRL-FCM  network  participating in meetings. training courses, workshops, task forces and interlaboratory comparative tests (EURL PT)
• ensures the  transmission of the information received  from the EURL-FCM to the competent authorities and  the  IT OLs  Italian involved in official controls  of FCM
• disseminates to the IT OLs the Guidelines developed in the EURL/NRL-FCM   network  dealing with  test conditions, analytical methods and their validation
• promotes  the participation of the IT OLs  to the Interlaborat regolarmente i labora ory tests  on migration methods  from FCM   organized by the EURL FCM  and performs  follow up activities  
• makes available  to IT OLs and Competent Autohoritis   the dedicated e mail: mcalab@iss.it
