Back Cell donation, transplant and banking activity
The attached documents have been produced and published annually by EUROCET with the data collected by Competent Authorities for Haematopoietic Progenitor Cells from European Member States (and some other Extra EU countries).
The following reports show calculations regarding the whole donation‐processing‐distribution-transplantation process of Haematopoietic Progenitor Cells of human origin starting from 2008.
This report is divided into four main sections based on the competence of the data presented. In each section, data are shown in tables concerning different aspects of the related activity:
Donor Registries:
- potential donation
- searching in the national registries
- distribution and exchange
Donation Center: The section collects data on the number of autologous and allogenic (related and unrelated) donation from bone marrow, peripheral blood and cord blood.
Cord Blood Banks:
- unrelated cord blood collected, cryopreserved and distributed per origin
- related cord blood collected, cryopreserved and distributed per origin
Transplant Centers:
- transplantation and recipients per HPC's origin
- other procedures associated with transplantation
Eurocet is the official data provider of the Newsletter Transplant, the EDQM/Council of Europe publication, which gives international figures on organ, tissue and cell donation and transplantation.
