Il rapporto presenta i risultati dell’attività del Telefono Verde AIDS e Infezioni Sessualmente Trasmesse (IST) dell’Istituto Superiore di Sanità, che nel 2024 ha registrato un totale di 7.305 telefonate. I dati raccolti evidenziano come il Telefono Verde AIDS e IST svolga attività di prevenzione primaria e secondaria sulle IST e raccolga informazioni sui comportamenti sessuali a rischio della popolazione italiana, utili per implementare interventi di sanità pubblica con l’obiettivo di contribuire al controllo delle malattie infettive emergenti e riemergenti. Il rapporto include l’attività del sito “Uniti contro l’AIDS”, che lanciato il 1° dicembre 2013. Si struttura in differenti sezioni contenenti informazioni scientifiche sulle IST e su come prevenirle, nonché sui centri pubblici italiani per l’esecuzione degli esami diagnostici. Inoltre, il sito si compone di una sezione dinamica dedicata all’attualità. Il rapporto si correda di un’Appendice contenente tabelle e una sintesi dei dati della ReTe AIDS, network di strutture pubbliche ed Enti del Terzo Settore, impegnate nell’attività di counselling telefonico.

The report presents the results of the AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) Helpline of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (the National Institute of Health in Italy), which in 2024 recorded a total of 7,305 phone calls. The data collected highlights how the AIDS and STI Helpline carries out primary and secondary prevention activities against STIs and collects information on the risky sexual behaviors of the Italian population, which is useful for implementing public health interventions to control emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases. The report includes the activities of the “United Against AIDS” website, which was launched on 1st December 2013. It is structured into different sections containing scientific information on STIs and how to prevent them, as well as information on Italian public centers for diagnostic testing. The website also features a dynamic section dedicated to current events. The report is accompanied by an appendix containing tables and a summary of data from ReTe AIDS, a network of telephone services public institutions and non-profit organizations.
