CS N°5/2021 – Note on the data from Lombardy

ISS, 23rd January 2021 - The Italian National Institute of Health is a technical and scientific body that processes the data sent by the Regions and Autonomous Provinces, data that they have repeatedly validated.

So far all the Regions and Autonomous Provinces have regularly forwarded their data for 37 weeks..

The Region of  Lombardy, in the current week, has amended its data referring to the week prior to 22 January. The amendment concerns in particular the number of symptomatic patients with confirmed infection which is the basis for calculating the RT.

This amendment has led to the modification of the estimate of the RT of the previous week.
