Training proposal

For schools that have signed an agreement with the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS - Italian National Institute of Health), there are three ways of participating:

1.  Fifty-hour pathways

Training courses focused on public health and science communication The programme is divided into separate teaching modules in 4 thematic areas:

  • Environment & health
  • Communication & science
  • Diseases: from biology to the clinic
  • Prevention & lifestyles

It is developed during 7 days of two consecutive weeks for a total of 50 hours.

2. PON projects

ISS tutors are available to co-design training courses with the PCTO referent teachers in response to calls for PON (National Operational Program) funded by MIUR. These projects are feasible only with schools with which an agreement with the ISS has been stipulated and a collaboration has started.

3. Extra Pathways

School students who have an agreement with the ISS can take part in activities proposed by ISS tutors and / or school teachers to continue the training experience or to participate in new school-work alternation projects.

A mandatory course on safety in the ISS workplace completes the offer and is necessary for student to take part in all the initiatives above.
