Back Glob Theatre

The purpose of this project is to offer an unconventional and high-tech training opportunity while promoting the culture of donating and providing correct information about the blood system.

Target: primary and (lower and upper) secondary school students and teachers
Products: digital and multimedia material

Educational Box
This interactive educational booth will include, among other things, smartphones and visors to allow students of different grade levels to dive into an augmented reality experience, that will make young (and older) people better aware of what health means. This will encourage them to take better care of themselves and others every day, by learning to adopt healthy lifestyles. Issues related to blood and healthy lifestyle choices will be examined in depth, with a focus on nutrition, drinking and smoking, and the impact that wrong choices can have on our body’s balance.
Students will benefit from an educational experience that is in tune with current times, based on cooperative learning, thanks to the possibility to interact directly with the volunteers from donor associations. Scientific content can be interspersed with playful moments (blood group game, stem cells game, etc.). Teachers will have access to multimedia educational cards (with links to videos and sites with additional information) the content of which they can adjust to their yearly syllabi, also to verify student learning.

Implementation: 2020.
ISS researchers are available to give presentations in schools as soon as this project is up and running.
