The Department for Drug Policies (DPA) - (Presidency of the Council of Ministers - published the Parliament 2022 Report on drug addiction in Italy.
The document to which the National Center for Addiction and Doping has collaborated (Chap. 1.5), is made up of 7 sections, divided into 10 chapters.
The first part analyzes the drug market, with data on seizures, price changes and qualitative analyzes of the substances seized.
In addition, it exposes strategies aimed at reducing supply and focuses on criminal complaints for drug-related offenses.
The second and third part analyze the diffusion and consumption trends in the population, as well as the prevention activities of the addiction phenomenon implemented by all the institutional actors of the national panorama. The fourth part is dedicated to treatment services for people with substance addiction.
The fifth part deals with the damage related to the use of drugs starting from road accidents. Finally, the last two parts concern the activities promoted by the Department and the work carried out during the VI National Conference on Addictions entitled "Beyond the frailties", concluded in Genoa on 27 and 28 November 2021 12 years after the last edition.
